Returns & Refunds
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Everything is printed when you order it, so we cannot take a return because of size or a change of mind. We’re a small operation — if an item arrives damaged, faulty or wrong, let us know within 30 days and we’ll do what we can to make it right.
1. Printed to order, so most returns are not possible
Our merchandise is printed when you order it. Nothing is held in stock, and a printed item cannot be returned to inventory or resold, because there is no inventory.
So we generally cannot accept a return or exchange for a change of mind, an incorrectly selected size, or a colour preference where the item matches its description. Every product page carries a size chart; please measure something you already own and compare, rather than going by the letter on the label.
Damaged, defective, misprinted and incorrectly supplied items are covered by section 2. Nothing on this page limits a right you have under federal or state law that cannot be waived.
2. If it arrives damaged, faulty or wrong
Write to support@theswampers.com within 30 days of delivery, with your order number and a clear photograph of the problem, if your order arrived:
- Damaged in transit — torn, crushed, stained, soaked.
- Faulty or misprinted — print off-centre, wrong colours, cracked ink, seams coming apart, labels missing.
- Not what you ordered — we sent a Medium when you bought a Large, or Skeeter’s shirt instead of Gumbo’s.
Once we’ve confirmed the problem, we’ll send a replacement at no cost to you, or, where a replacement isn’t practical, refund the item. Which of the two is our call. The original item must be sent back to us before a replacement or refund is issued.
Why 30 days. That is our printer’s claim window, counted from the day the parcel was delivered — or from the estimated delivery date if it never turned up. Claims made after it can’t be accepted, except where the law requires otherwise.
Please do not send anything back without asking first, and in particular do not send it to our printer. Once we’ve looked at your photograph, we’ll email you return instructions and a prepaid shipping label, so sending it back costs you nothing.
3. Cancelling an order
Orders go to print quickly, often within hours, so we can’t promise to stop one. If you need to cancel, write to support@theswampers.com straight away: if printing hasn’t started we’ll cancel and refund it. Once an item has been made it can’t be cancelled, and section 1 applies.
In the rare case an order can’t ship within our 30-day window, we’ll email you with a new date and the choice to wait or cancel for a full refund, as set out in the Shipping policy.
4. Rights you keep
Nothing in this policy takes away a right you have by law. Depending on where you live in the United States, that may include:
- the federal shipping and cancellation rights in section 3, which come from the Federal Trade Commission’s rule on mail, internet and telephone orders;
- implied warranties under your state’s law — broadly, that what we sell you is of a quality fit to be sold and matches how we described it;
- your state’s law on unfair or deceptive business practices; and
- your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer.
Where your state’s law gives you a right this policy doesn’t mention, that law applies.
5. Wrong addresses and unclaimed parcels
Please check your delivery address at the checkout. If a parcel has to be reshipped because the address was incomplete or wrong, additional postage may apply, unless the error was ours. We cannot change an address once printing has begun, which can be within hours of an order.
If tracking says a parcel is lost, returned or unclaimed, write to us. We’ll look into it with the carrier before deciding what to do. A returned parcel left unclaimed with our fulfilment provider may be donated after a period and cannot be forwarded after that.
6. How refunds are issued
Refunds go back through Stripe to the card you paid with, unless you agree to something else.
Once a refund is issued, your bank or card issuer may take several days to post it to your account, which is outside our control.
What we do with order information, and for how long we keep it, is in the Privacy Notice.

If something has gone wrong with an order, please write to us before sending anything back. Most problems are sorted out from a photograph without anything needing to be posted at all, and writing first means we know to expect your parcel if one does.
