Contribution Terms

These terms apply when you support The Swampers with a one-time contribution or monthly support on this site. Contributions are paid to Copper Run Records LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company, which runs The Swampers, so they appear on your card statement as COPPER RUN* SWAMPERS.

1. What a contribution is

  • It supports the project as a whole — writing and recording music, animation and videos, the interactive world, and our community work.
  • It isn't a purchase. You don't receive goods, services, memberships, tiers or exclusive access in return. Everything we make stays free for everyone.
  • It isn't a charitable donation and isn't tax-deductible. Copper Run Records LLC is a for-profit company.
  • You must be 18 or older to contribute, and use a payment method you're allowed to use.

2. Amounts and payment

Contributions are in US dollars, from $1 to $1,000 each. Payments are processed by Stripe, and Stripe emails a receipt each time you're charged. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us.

3. Monthly support

  • Monthly support is charged on the same day each month, starting the day you sign up, until you cancel.
  • Cancel anytime in My Account (or through Manage my support). Cancelling stops future charges; your current month isn't refunded, and support simply ends at the close of that month.
  • If you change your monthly amount, the new amount applies from your next monthly charge.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe may retry it over the following days. If it still fails, monthly support ends.

4. Campaigns

Sometimes we raise support for a specific project, like a music video or a community project. Campaign contributions go toward that project. If a campaign raises more than its goal, or the project changes or can't go ahead, the money supports The Swampers as a whole, and we'll say so in our updates.

5. Refunds

Contributions are not refundable, except where the law requires. If you contributed by mistake or the amount was wrong, contact us at support@theswampers.com within 14 days and we'll review it; refunds in those cases are at our discretion. If you don't recognize a charge, please contact us before disputing it with your bank so we can help quickly.

6. Changes

We may update these terms. Changes apply to contributions made after the update. If a change affects monthly support, we'll email you before your next charge.
